God detests hypocrisy.
Proverbs 26:24-26 He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself. When he speaks kindly, do not believe him, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred is covered by deceit, His wickedness will be revealed before the assembly. (NKJV)
Matthew 24:49-50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (NKJV)
What does hypocrisy look like?
Not doing as you preach.
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (NKJV)
Judging others for things that you do yourself.
Romans 2:3 And do you think this, O man, you who judge those practicing such things, and doing the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? (NKJV)
Condemning others without being righteous yourself.

Deceiving yourself into thinking you’re “religious”.
James 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless. (NKJV)
Focused on your image rather than your heart.
Matthew 23:28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. (NKJV)
Believing you are someone you’re not.
Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. (NKJV)
Claiming to love God, but hating people.

Contradicting your words with your actions.
Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work. (NKJV)
