What Does The Bible Say About Lying?
God Does Not Lie
Unlike humans, God does not lie or change his mind.
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (NKJV)

Once God has sworn, he does not lie or break his promise.

Who Is A Liar?
The devil is not just a liar, but the father of lies.
John 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. (NKJV)
Every man is a liar.

Consequences Of Lying
Lies separate us from God.

Your tongue has muttered perversity. (NKJV)
Lies distance us from God’s presence.
Liars will have no part in God’s kingdom.
Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (NKJV)

Let your nature of lying die along with the old man.
