My dearest readers, oh how I’ve missed this space! After a few months of being MIA, it is such a delight to be back with you. A while ago, I wrote [Who Does God Say I Am?] and because it resonated with so many of you, I thought I’d create a ‘part 2’ of sorts, with a fresh look at biblical truths, not just for one moment in time, but for every season of life. So, whether you are in a winter of waiting, a spring of new beginnings, a summer of celebration, or a fall of letting go, let’s rediscover who God says you are, no matter what your current season of life looks like.

Who Does God Say I Am In Every Season Of Life?
1. The Winter: A Season of Hidden Growth
The Feeling: Cold, lonely, dark, or like your life is “on pause.” You feel unproductive and wonder if God has forgotten your address.
- The World Says: “You’re falling behind. You’re irrelevant if you aren’t producing.”
- The Truth: In winter, the growth is happening underground, in the roots. You are not “stagnant”; you are being strengthened for what’s next. Even when you feel surrounded by cold silence, isolation, or overwhelming trial, your identity in God remains entirely unchanged. He uses seasons of “winter” not to abandon you, but to draw you deeper, refine your strength, and anchor you in truth.
Who God Says I Am: During Winter Time
–I Am Seen and Loved in the Darkest Valley
Psalm 23:4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (NKJV)
–I Am Never Alone in the Silence
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. (NKJV)
-I Am Sustained and Given Rest
Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (NKJV)
-I Am Being Refined, Not Destroyed
1 Peter 1:6–7In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (NKJV)
-I Am Covered by Peace That Surpasses Understanding
Philippians 4:6–7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
-I Am Held Fast by God’s Right Hand
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (NKJV)
-I Am Patiently Awaiting a Coming Spring
Song of Solomon 2:11–12 For behold, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come. (NKJV)
-I Am Victorious Through Him
Romans 8:37–39Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come… shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NKJV)
-I Am Given Light in the Shadows
Psalm 18:28 For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. (NKJV)
-I Am Kept in Perfect Peace As I Trust Him
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (NKJV)
2. The Spring: A Season of New Beginnings
The Feeling: Excitement, fresh ideas, and finally seeing “green” after a long wait. It’s a time of birth and breakthrough.
- The World Says: “Look at what you did! Keep up the hustle so you don’t lose momentum.”
- The Truth: Spring is a beautiful reminder that God is a restorer who brings resurrection, fresh vision, and vibrant energy after a season of waiting. When the seeds planted in the quiet winter finally break through the soil, your identity in Him is illuminated in new, fruitful ways.
Who God Says You Are: During Spring Time
-I Am a New Creation with Fresh Beginnings

-I Am Filled with the Light of Life

-I Am Overflowing with Hope and Expectancy
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (NKJV)
3. The Summer: A Season of High Visibility
The Feeling: You are happy, “motivated,” grateful, and everything really is in full bloom.
- The World Says: “Your value is tied to your performance. Don’t let the fire go out.”
- The Truth: You are just as loved when you are “doing everything” as you were when you were “doing nothing” in winter. Your identity is anchored, not earned. Summer is the season of abundance, light, and high visibility. It is when the seeds planted in secret and nurtured in spring reach their highest expression in full view. It’s not about pride, isn’t about pride, it’s about letting God’s work in you shine brightly so others can experience His goodness, too.

4. The Fall: A Season of Letting Go
The Feeling: Transition. Things are changing, and you’re having to say goodbye to certain roles, people, or dreams.
- The World Says: “You’re losing ground. This is the end of your peak.”
- The Truth: Falling leaves aren’t a sign of death; they are a sign of preparation. God is clearing the space to protect your heart for the cycle to begin again. Fall is the season of release, transition, and sacred surrender. Just as trees shed their leaves to conserve life for what lies ahead, letting go is not a sign of failure, it is an act of trust. In the Kingdom, saying goodbye to a role, a season, or a dream opens your hands to receive the new heritage God is preparing for you.
