One of the hardest voices to silence is the voice inside of our head. You know the one that says “you can’t do this”, “you’re not strong enough”, “God will never forgive you”, etc. Yes, that voice. That voice needs to be silenced at all costs. But the only way to silence the voice inside of our heads is with the voice of God. Below I am sharing a list of examples of what I say vs what God says to help you fight that stubborn, loud, and lying voice inside your head!

What I Say Vs What God Says
What I Say:
1 – I can’t do this, I am not strong enough.
What God Says:
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (NKJV)
What I Say:
2 – I am all alone.
What God Says:
Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ (NKJV)
What I Say:
3 – Everyone is against me and out to get me.
What God Says:
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (NKJV)
What I Say:
4 – There is no hope for me.
What God Says:
Ecclesiastes 9:4 But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. (NKJV)
What I Say:
5 – I will never be able to experience peace.
What God Says:
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (NKJV)
What I Say:
6 – No one understands me.
What God Says:
Psalm 139:2-3 You know my sitting down and my rising up; you understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. (NKJV)
What I Say:
7 – I’m not fit enough to serve God.
What God Says:
1 Corinthians 1: 27-29 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. 8 – My sins can’t be forgiven.
What God Says:
Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. (NKJV)
What I Say:
9 – My past defines who I am.
What God Says:
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (NKJV)
What I Say:
10 – I can’t escape this temptation.
What God Says:
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. (NKJV)
What I Say:
11 – This pain will never go away.
What God Says:
Revelation 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (NKJV)
What I Say:
12 – I don’t have a purpose.
What God Says:
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (NKJV)
What I Say:
13 – This battle will never end.
What God Says:
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (NKJV)
What I Say:
14 – Nothing will ever change.
What God Says:
Isaiah 43:18-19 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (NKJV)
What I Say:
15 – My wounds will never be healed.
What God Says:
Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (NKJV)
