No One Likes Talking About Death
I’ve always dreaded writing about death.
It’s a topic I have always avoided talking about on my blog because of all that it entails.
But after losing someone so special in my life yesterday, November 4th, 2024, I felt the need to transform my tears, thoughts, and pain into words that can not only honor him, but also help others who are experiencing grief as well.
Dedicatory To Someone Special
Henry Salinas was an extraordinary, courageous, and admirable man of God. One of the very best I have ever known. An exceptional husband, father, son, friend, and brother-in-Christ, who impacted the lives of so many. Everyone that knew Henry knew how much he loved God and how special he was. He always had a smile on his face, loved to worship God, and gave the best hugs. There is no one in this world that hugs the way Henry did. Just the thought of not being able to hug him ever again breaks my heart. But I will cherish every memory and find comfort in the fact that God is hugging him now.
I pray that God comforts his wife, daughter, parents, siblings, family members, friends, and everyone that knew him. And I also pray that all of us who knew him can follow his footsteps and love God as loudly, genuinely, and proudly as he did.
Henry, you made it. You fought the good fight of faith with so much grace and courage and won. In life and in death, you have and always will be a huge inspiration for me. I will never forget you, your hugs, and everything I learned from you.
Thank you for everything, my dear brother-in-Christ. You will be remembered forever ❤️🩹
