Are you feeling down? Does everything seem to be going down the drain? Do you feel discouraged? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, please know that 1) you’re not alone and 2) you’ve come to the right place! Personally, I didn’t wake up feeling my best today. If I’m being quite honest, today I woke up feeling exhausted and a little down. Now I can go on and list why I feel this way, but instead of pointing fingers to situations or even people, I’ve decided to take these feelings to God and see what He has to say to me in His Word. So, whether you’re feeling discouraged, down, sad, or exhausted, below I’m sharing 10 bible verses to read when you’re feeling down.

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU’RE FEELING DOWN
1. Know that you’re not alone.
1 Peter 5:9-10 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 2. Run to Jesus.
Matthew 11: 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (NKJV)
3. Give all your problems/feelings to Jesus.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (NKJV)
4. Allow God to comfort and talk to you through scripture.

THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERYTHING
The beautiful yet scary thing about life is that it is full of surprises (good and bad ones!) There will be days where you’re feeling so in love with life, content with everything happening to you, and motivated to keep going. But, there will also be days where you will fall out of love with life, feel discouraged, and need strength to keep going. Life is a combination of both good moments and bad moments.
And while it would be ideal to only experience the good moments, bad moments are necessary too. Without bad moments, we wouldn’t be able to fully appreciate the good moments or know what it feels like to be comforted by God. That is why God has made a time for everything. Behind every situation you face, there is a higher purpose.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” (NKJV)
