What makes a woman a woman of God? What are the qualities of a godly woman? Whether you have been following Jesus for a short while or a long time, I’m sure you’ve wondered at one point or another how you can become a godly woman. Perhaps you’re tired of living your life the way you have and want to give your life a turn. Or maybe you want to resemble those powerful, inspiring, and godly female figures in your circle and/or in the Bible. Today I’m going to share 14 wonderful things women of God, inspired by 14 actions from women in the Bible who made an impact in history.

4. A woman of God serves God continually.

6. A Woman of God knows who to follow.

7. A woman of God stands out from the rest.

8. A woman of God knows how to lead other women.
Exodus 15:20 Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. (NKJV)
9. A woman of God knows how to take care of her blessings.
Exodus 2:1-2 And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi. So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months. (NKJV)
10. A woman of God is brave and courageous.
Esther 4:15-16 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (NKJV)
11. A woman of God knows when to act.
Judges 5:7 Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, Until I, Deborah, arose, Arose a mother in Israel. (NKJV)
12. A woman of God is a helper of many.
Romans 16:1-2 I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea, that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and assist her in whatever business she has need of you; for indeed she has been a helper of many and of myself also. (NKJV)
13. A woman of God knows how to glorify God.
Luke 1:46-47 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (NKJV)
14. A woman of God knows how to balance her business and her faith.
Acts 16:14-15 Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us. (NKJV)
