Whether you have been attending church for awhile or you recent started, there are toxic habits that church go-ers need to avoid! Going to church is so much more than simply walking into a building every single week for x amount of time. 30 Things Christians Shouldn’t Do In Church
1. DO NOT judge anyone.
Matthew 7:1-2 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. (NKJV)
2. DO NOT condemn the weaknesses of others.
Romans 2:1 Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. (NKJV)
3. DO NOT exclude or reject others.
Romans 15:7 Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. (NKJV)
4. DO NOT feel superior or better than others.
Romans 11:18 Do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. (NKJV)
5. DO NOT be on the lookout for others errors.
Matthew 7:3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? (NKJV)
6. DO NOT act self-righteous.

7. DO NOT do things just to be seen.

9. DO NOT gossip about others.
Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. (NKJV)
10. DO NOT hold grudges against others.
Mark 11:25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. (NKJV)
11. DO NOT hate anyone.
1 John 2:9-10 He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. (NKJV)
12. DO NOT cause another believer to stumble.
Luke 17:1-2 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. (NKJV)
13. DO NOT use the Bible to fight with others.
Romans 14:1 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. (NKJV)
14. DO NOT contend with believers over different opinions.
Romans 14:2-4 Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him who eats; for God has received him. Who are you to judge another’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand. (NKJV)
15. DO NOT mistreat others.
Matthew 7:12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. (NKJV)
16. DO NOT make favoritism.
James 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. (NKJV)
17. DO NOT cause disruptions/distractions.
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (NKJV)
18. DO NOT disregard other’s needs.
1 Peter 3:8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. (NKJV)
19. DO NOT disrespect authorities.
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. (NKJV)
20. DO NOT let distractions draw you away from God.
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (NKJV)
21. DO NOT ignore God’s voice & presence.
John 12:48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. (NKJV)
22. DO NOT hide your feelings from God.

23. DO NOT disconnect yourself from God.

24. DO NOT doubt God’s word or power.

25. DO NOT listen to the wrong voice.

26. DO NOT refuse to collaborate.

28. DO NOT attend church out of pressure.

30. DO NOT show up to church only physically! Be there spiritually too.
