Whether you have been drifting away from God, struggling to maintain your relationship with God, or slowly losing your faith, this post is for you. In this post I’m sharing 28 things that ruin your relationship with God. If you’ve been doing one of these things, please do not condemn yourself, instead let God redeem, restore, and renew you with his love.

1. Idolatry – Putting anyone/anything over God.

Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. (NIV)

2. Lack of knowledge of God.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (NKJV)

3. Sins – no matter how big or small.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. (NKJV)

4. Fear.
