Have you ever read the entire Bible? Personally, I have read the Bible a lot over the years, but I’ve never read it entirely. I’m a huge New Testament girl, so I’m always re-reading books in the New Testament. And so there are a couple of books from the Old Testament that I have yet to read! With that in mind, I’ve decided to challenge myself to finally read the entire Bible in a year. So, if you’re on the same boat as me or if you’ve already read the entire Bible but you’re up for a challenge, below I’m going to share the Read the Bible in a year Challenge that I have created for all of us!

READ THE BIBLE IN A YEAR CHALLENGE RULES
6 BOOKS PER MONTH
Because there are 66 books in the entire Bible, I tried to evenly spread them out for 12 months. So, every month we would be reading 6 different books with the exception of January. In January, we’re going to read 7 different books to start off the year strong.
PSALMS
Since Psalms is the longest book in the Bible with a total of 150 chapters, I’ve decided to divide this book up in chapters and read it in 7 months.
The book of Psalms would be read the following way:
- January – Psalms 1-30
- March – Psalms 30-50
- May – Psalms 50-70
- June Psalms 70-90
- August – Psalms 90-110
- October – Psalms 110-130
- November – 130-150
OLD TESTAMENT + NEW TESTAMENT
Whether you enjoy reading the Old Testament or the New Testament more, every single month includes books from both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
So you’ll get a little bit of both every single month!
LONG BOOKS + SHORT BOOKS
To not overwhelm you, I’ve tried to pair up long books with short books every month.
